Cardinals - Angels would also have the former/current Pujols intrigue.

Can you imagine if an all-California Final 4 emerged?

Would three-quarters of the country care?

Does KC get even with Oakland for stealing the A's all those years ago?

And a potential Dodgers-Giants playoff series would be intriguing, probably more so than any all Cali World Series possibilities.

Do you think that matters a whole lot? I'm not particularly interested in the Royals, Tigers, and Cardinals because they come from my general vicinity. Hard-core baseball fans like us will care no matter who is still standing. People who duck out once their team is out - which is 90 percent of fans, probably - won't be any more interested because a team is in the same division as theirs, I don't believe.

If that happens, the STL fans will bring down the house with applause for Pujols and Freese., Pujols for a hall of fame 11 years, Freese for Game 6.

Astros hire A.J. Hinch as manager.

It couldn't happen this year, because one of Oakland/LAA has to be eliminated prior to the ALCS. As far as my predictions, they go as follows:

    Oakland > KC

    Baltimore > Detroit
    Oakland > LAA

    Oakland > Baltimore

    Pittsburgh > San Francisco

    Washington > Pittsburgh
    Dodgers > Cardinals

    Washington > Dodgers

Oakland > Washington in four games

Jorge Orta with the first pitch?

    I love the possibilities this year; Balt-Pitt redux? Giants-A's? Giants-Angels revenge series? KC-St.L? A's-LAD? Wash-LAD? Det-St.L (Where's McClain)?

Isn't there some dispute over TV rights in D.C.?

Orioles v Nats in World Series. Loser leaves town

Only if Orta can pitch it and Darrell Porter lets it pass by him and Onix Concepcion sprints to third.

Royals going to win it all.

I don't care who they play.

It's been 29 years. Tomorrow will be one of the best days of my life. Son and I are going. :)
