FART was wrong about the A's. I'm calling it right here on this board.

Ah, T-Bakes. Along with The Blue Note on the business loop, you were guaranteed to get in and get served with just a student ID. I was a senior in high school when the Royals defeated the Cardinals in the '85 Series.

I was 14 when they won and it made me very happy because fuck Jack Clark and his home run off Niedenfuer.

As a Missourian, the game last night was one of the most exciting I've seen, nearly ranking up there with Game 6 of the 2011 World Series. I'm not a Royals fan, per se, but all of Missouri was pulling for them last night, myself included. I hope they continue the excitement against the Angels.

What an interesting few days for Pittsburgh and Kansas City, as sports towns.

The city of Pittsburgh is humiliated football-wise after Pitt loses at home to Akron and then the Steelers lose at home to Tampa Bay.

Western PA hasn't been this degraded since Nickerson told Djordjevic to ride home with the cheerleaders.

Contrast that combination of woe with Kansas City the last 48 hours.

On Monday night at Arrowhead the Chiefs humiliate the Patriots , and then last night's Royals win. KC-Mo must be buzzing right now.

Probably a story to be written about sports and a town's emotional state of mind.

Am I a bad person for rooting for San Fran just so the O's can play the noon game Friday? That's the only way I can watch the whole thing, since a 3 p.m. start would totally bleed into my prep football assignment.

Not at all bud, that is how FART hopes it shakes out.
Friday is going to be a shitshow on the 'stead, I guarantee that.

It's not the fact that Yost took Shields out.......it's the fact that he put in Ventura instead of Herrera.
