Aren't you supposed to wear your city name on the road and your team name at home?

Seems like everyone BUT Junior Lake was wearing the wrong jersey.

 

Well, this year, apparently, the Cubs have about seven or eight alternate jerseys, so I wouldn't be surprised if this happened a few times this year.

 

Puig is in lineup for Dodgers' home opener, shows up late for batting practice, is scratched from lineup. Also ... Kemp initially wasn't in lineup, but yanking Puig allowed the Dodgers to start Kemp and soothe those feelings.

Gonna be a fun year for Mattingly.

 

You can smell the future here. I'd trade him now and avoid years of disruptive behavior.

 

Upton update: brothers a combined 0 - 8 today with 6 Ks. Now a combined 2 - 31 for the season.

Braves now 3-1 in spite of scoring 0, 1 and 2 runs in three of their four games.

 

Kemp comes up slow fielding a two-out single, lets Posey score without a play, bobbles ball for an error that gives Morse second. Next batter bloops a single to score Morse.

Then the third out drops to the ground when Gordon never sees a popup and Gonzalez can't recover.

And the pitcher hits a medium fly to center. Kemp, who clearly can't run right now, lets it drop. 5-0 Giants. Pagan singles to make it 6-0.

This inning started with two outs and a walk. All runs earned against Ryu.

 

I don't mean to be Twins-like with this PBP, but ... Posey ends a 12-pitch at-bat leading off the second with a grounder to short, which Ramirez throws into the dirt. Posey safe.

Ryu has thrown 49 pitches and recorded three outs.
