I hope you're on the road to KC. You won't regret it.

Two weeks ago, my son and I went to the Wild Card game. When I'm in the slow fade on my death bed decades from now (I hope), I know the two of us will laugh and smile about that day.

I'm hoping that the Royals end up sweeping the next five games. That way, I can say that I was at the last game they lost, the penultimate game of the season against the White Sox. (It was Paul Konerko Day at U.S. Cellular Field, in fact.)

Short-staffed here, so I decided against going. I hope I don't regret it.

As a lifelong Royals fan, there are 4 words that will forever stay with me...."No outs to go."

I'll be very curious to hear what Uncle Denny's call is tonight......I really hope he says something about Fred White......

I feel badly for long-suffering Baltimore, what with Angelos and all. But damn, the Royals are fun to watch.

I just hope Denny said something at a level of enthusiasm that doesn't sound like he's cranky this game will cut in on watching "Murder, She Wrote" on some faroff cable channel..

Agree with both of you, especially the reference to Fred White.

If (oh, who are we kidding, when) the Royals make it -- and especially if it's against the Cardinals -- I'm hoping someone airs an endless loop of the 10-minute span that it looked like Andujar and Whitey were going to strangle Denkinger during Game 7. So awesome.

If it's the Royals and Giants, I see an outcome similar to Giants-Rangers. Texas was red-hot then ran into that wall called the San Francisco rotation.

There may be a strategy here worth following. Giants win in even years, suck in between. Red Sox are headed into the thrive cycle in 2015. Maybe the Rangers have got that down to. Daniels is a Boston guy.

It's been an unexpectedly great season. Not over yet.

To have gotten this far without Wieters, Machado and Davis, well, everything in October has just been icing on the cake. Most everyone had them picked to finish last in the AL East.

No complaints here. Overall entertaining season to remember.
