If that happens can we spend an adequate amount of time talking about how Orta wound up being the only guy the Cardinals got out in the ninth of Game 6? You know, after that call that cost the Cardinals the series. ;)

Yeah, they released all that stuff earlier this year. Good way to fall down a rabbit hole.

I've said it before, but Ned Yost is Baseball Les Miles. Whatever crazy/stupid decisions he makes are all working out. All the way to a championship.

The 1:38 mark. Whitey gets rung after Andujar protests a pitch that made it 3-2. Whole Cardinals team starts to charge toward Denkinger. They calm down, go back ... and guess what Denkinger called the payoff pitch?

"And Andujar is thrown out of the game, and they better get him out of there! They better get him out in a hurry!"

It is handling adversity The Right Way. The BestFans Way.

Holy crap, Willie Stargell played LF in game 7 of the 1971 WS... I am having a hard time believing that.

Stargell was predominantly (if not full-time) an outfielder until about 1975.

I want Elias to give us the last time a team's #3 hitter laid down a sac bunt in the first inning of a playoff game.

    Ned knows all.

Steve Garvey in 1984, according to ESPN.

Is Steve Garvey a hall of famer? :D.

But Cain wasn't quite hitting .700 in the postseason at that point. Might as well give them the out. :D
