Sheesh, do you want the two runs or not? Trust Ned. Always trust Ned.

Throughout these final 9 outs, I want to read poignant Chefian memories of being a Royals fan through thick and thin these last 29 years.

It all started with my first trip to a Royals game back in 83, when I was at the ripe old age of 9 and they played the Texas Rangers. We stayed at the Drury Inn across the Interstate from the Stadium. I remember waking up the morning of the game, opening the window shade, and just an avalanche of empty seats with the big crown in front.

I got two autographs that beautiful day. One from Darryl Motley, one from Pete O'Brien.

You hear all the stories about how clean Royals Stadium (now the K) is. It is spotless. The sound the fountains made was even more clear even though they didn't draw well those years. The turf was unlike anything I'd ever seen. Just a different sort of green.

I've lost track how many games I've been to over the years. But the same things around the stadium remain. Just how BIG Arrowhead is.

I've seen sunshine, and I've seen rain.

Even better, they named a junior high school after him.

If there was ever the look of playing out the string, the O's are doing it. Jeez, how about some grinding (says Gibson)?

    6 outs to go.

I am really regretting not going up today.

The whole fucking stadium had to sell their souls to the devil for the unbelievably good fortune and stupid luck that's happened in this series. Damnedest fucking thing I've ever seen. Not just hopeless, but helpless. Like the whole thing is supernaturally rigged.

    Don't regret it, Chef.

You'll get your chances in the WS.

An idea -- as Kansas City tickets for the WS are about $800 just to get SRO, if the Cardinals win, I could see those tickets costing a little less on StubHub. Perhaps we each go as "road fans'!

Baltimorians are recalling/trying to conjure up the ghost of Dave Roberts

And yet, the only conjuring being done is Moustakas conjuring up the ghost of Brooks Robinson.

Closed the gallery early to watch the final 3 outs.

Why sports, Jeff? Because these Royals.
