I'm not going to expend any meaningful thought on a LOOGY shitballer.
Just pointing out a common tactic you use in debate.
It's what makes you the atomic clock of bad posting.

As I said. You were trolling.

Also, I provided support for my point, so you were wrong about that, too.

Now please stop interrupting the baseball discussion with your idiocy.

    Anywho...

Speaking of facts over speculation, it has been a big night for some of the guys busted for PED use. Braun hits three home runs. Melky Cabrera's two-run home gives him four, already surpassing his total from 2013. Bartolo Colon threw seven shutout innings for the Mets in Atlanta.

Getting back to this April 8 theme for a minute ...

Home Runs on April 8, 2004:

    Ellis Burks
    Jose Offerman
    Rob Bowen
    Jacques Jones
    Eric Munson
    Alex Sanchez
    Casey Blake
    Jorge Posada
    Todd Greene
Rich Sexson (who has been out baseball 6 years, which seems mind-blowing)
    Shea Hillenbrand
    Bobb Estalella
    Ty Wigginton
    Mike Cameron
    Sammy Sosa
Mike Lowell (for the Marlins against the Montreal Expos)
    Mike Lieberthal
    Raul Mondesi (for the Pirates)
    Marquis Grissom
    Brady Clark (2)
Keith Ginter (a guy named Keith Ginter hit 38 career homers)
    Junior Spivey
    Hector Luna
    Albert Pujols (2)

Ten years later -- April 8, 2014 -- just one of those guys still plays Major League Baseball:

Albert Pujols, who hit a home run.

I imagine Wigginton will catch on somewhere before long. He was with the Marlins in spring training.

Frank Thomas thinks the balls are juiced this year, hence all the April home runs:

    http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/04/09/frank-thomas-things-the-balls-are-juiced-this-year/

As the link points out, Thomas hit 8 homers in April 1994 and 9 in March/April 1996.

Glad to see now that Bob Feller is dead, someone has assumed the "ballplayers aren't what they were in my day" mantle.

That's what you get for shooting off fireworks after you get shut out by the Mets.

Josh Hamilton out 6-8 weeks. Surgery on left thumb

Speaking of guys named Hamilton, Billy Hamilton scored on a 130-foot sacrifice fly today against the Cardinals. Not one of those goofy, over the shoulder foul pop catches where the guy has his back turned to the plate, either. Just a fly ball to shallow right field.
Also had a couple of stolen bases, a triple that by all rights should've been a double, and another run on a sac fly that wasn't all that deep. Dude is fast.

Jesus. That tag-up is insane. I thought the second baseman was going to catch the ball.

Ervin Santana's first 20 pitches were strikes in his Braves debut tonight. Has a 2-hit shutout vs the Mets thru 5.
