Nothing happening in New York through seven.

And no Aaron Harang happening in New York come the bottom of the eighth.

Fredi pinch-hit for him with a 3-0 lead. The Braves are now up 5-0.

And ... David Wright singles off Luis Avilan with two out in the eighth.

To be fair, Harang had thrown 121 pitches through seven innings. He did not give up any hits, but he walked six batters.

Absolutely. I thought he had to be running up a pitch count.

The Harang-utan has been a God send, no doubt about it.

And I totally agree with the decision to pull him after 7. As the AJC's Mark Bradley wrote, the Braves signed Harang to give them quality innings all season, not to create memories for one night in April.

Roy Hobbs wonders what the big deal is.

Did any of you think the cover was coming off before he made contact? It was hard to tell, but I think it might have been.

Good deal for both clubs, I'd say. Mets had to end the charade with Duda and Davis and at least they got something out of it. Davis may benefit from a change of scenery and getting out Citi Field, where fly balls go to die.

No Braves fan can complain about how the season has started, on the field. That's for sure; but the many injuries to the staff are bound to catch up.
