Robby Cano? Is he still in the league? He got his big contract, which is what really matters but if Cano thought he would be a brand, that Jay-Z synergy is pretty weak

Has there been a more under-the-radar approach -- and actual moment -- of a 500th home run than Pujols?

Just saw that, was amazed he's at 500 simply because still kinda thought he was young, thought around 400. 500 is amazing, 25 for 20 years (or more).

Jose Fernandez with 14 Ks, 0 walks, 2 3 hits allowed in 8 innings tonight. Beat the Braves 1-0.

The last few guys to do it have barely made a blip on the radar -- Frank Thomas, Manny Ramirez, Gary Sheffield. Hell, Thome hit No. 600 and it did little more than lead most roundups.
Wasn't that long ago when time stood still for guys sitting on No. 499. Live look-ins at all of their at-bats, front page news everywhere. It's kind of sad to see how it's slipped in the public eye.

Think it might have been a bigger deal if he was still a Cardinal. Unfortunately, he gets lost in the shuffle in LA/OC.

Seattle is two innings away from losing their second straight (at home no less) to the Astros to extend their losing streak to eight games. I think Jack Zduriencik might not see May.

Remember, Chone Figgins was an all-star before he signed with Seattle, too.

The bad baseball vibe is contagious.

Fairly significant difference between Chone Figgins and Robinson Cano.

The 28 combined strikeouts were the most in a game with no walks since 1900.

You're right: Cano hopefully will find a way out of Seattle before nobody wants him anymore ... ;)

Seriously, I don't know how Jack Zduriencik keeps his GM job.
