Wow. To have somebody waste the time to make that up is just...truly a new level of sad.

The case for replay: Angel Hernandez reversed twice during Monday's Padres-Giants game.

Not what I said, but you don't really care about accuracy, do you? (Neither does he, looking at the product of his work).

I was surprised to see the Brewers are now 19-7 after Monday's victory over the Cardinals, mostly because almost everything has gone right with their pitching staff. Milwaukee is second in the National League in team ERA (behind the Braves). Matt Garza is the only one of their five starters with an ERA over 3.00. Yovani Gallardo looks like an ace again with a 1.42 ERA, though apparently his velocity is still down from what it used to be.

Thing is, the pitching staff had question marks, but all at least could sustain a high level. Marco Estrada and Wily Peralta both have ability. Kyle Lohse probably won't keep his ERA as low as it is now (2.38), but he has been at pretty close to this level for a while now. Oh, and Francisco Rodriguez converted his 12th save in 12 tries last night. Kinda figures since he hasn't given up an earned run yet.

Thoughts if they can maintain this level of pitching? They might have to if they keep having injuries. Now Braun might be headed to the DL.

The A's knock around Yu Darvish again -- score four runs and finish him off by the fourth inning.

For his career he is 1-7 against them with a 4.73 ERA. Against the rest of baseball he is 29-12, 3.09.

Not even out of April and the MLB thread is headed to Locksville. Great.

The A's are in his kitchen, rummaging through his fridge and microwaving his frozen meat pies. Extreme plate discipline is the key.

Hopefully the Cy Young voters will recognize this, thus voiding the early opt-out clause in his contract.
