    Angels' farewell gift to Jeter.

No, he can't use the oar as a bat so he can start hitting the ball.

I've never been surfing, but are most boards that big? You could book that thing for a trip to Puerto Vallarta. I think I see Isaac hanging out by the "2" at the bottom.

It's a paddleboard, according to AP cutline of the event. Of course, the player holding a paddle was a huge hint.

How's this for a line score, from the Midwest League. Clinton's second baseman got the save ... and drove in the insurance runs in the 12th.

    Clinton 000 016 055 003 - 20
    Burlington 070 190 000 000 - 17

Time of the game? 3:28. Eat your hearts out, Yankees and Red Sox.

Samardzjia tells the Cubs' front office to stay out of his pitch counts.

I'm actually inclined to agree with him.

He's wrong, but that's OK because the Cubs' front office deserves any blowback they get. He's soooo traded.

He's still in Cubs mode and has forgotten that he'll be going to a team that needs him in October.

Cubs are now down to 138-218 (.388) under Epstein and Hoyer.

Hoyer is in his sixth season as a GM and has never ran a playoff team. No team employing either of these men has won a playoff game since Oct. 18, 2008.

The emperor is looking a bit underdressed in Chicago.

Chillax. Help is on the way. Kris Bryant and Javier Baez will be real forces in the infield, probably by next year's Opening Day.
