Funny. But it's important to keep up with this.

If by "important," you mean "completely irrelevant until September," then you are correct.

Another teachable moment of NDJ: See how long the season is? But Steak is correct. It's not even Memorial Day yet, too early to start printing World Series tickets.

It would be so sweet if NDJ's paper ran the magic numbers and listed games remaining for each team.

Jose Fernandez headed to the DL, per Ken Rosenthal:

Miami Herald Marlins beat writer Clarke Spencer says Fernandez had an MRI in Los Angeles:

I think Brian Kenny read this. He just, almost as a throwaway line, suggested it.

And Jose Bautista just fucked the shit out of the ball, 3-run shot.

Soriano just made his 1,000th hit in the American League to become the 7th player ever with 1,000+ hits in both leagues.

Dave Winfield, Frank Robinson, Vladimir Guerrero, Fred McGriff, Carlos Lee, Orlando Cabrera, Alfonso Soriano.

I just wish hitters would stop fucking the shit out of the ball.

Has Fredi Gonzlalez taken to trolling NDJ with this pitcher-bats-eighth deal?

Marlins ace Jose Fernandez, on the DL due to a sore elbow, may need Tommy John surgery. Ouch.

Orlando Cabrera had 2,000 career hits!?
I'll be damned. Checking his baseball reference page, he sure does. The fact he has 1,000 in each league, and 2,055 total, makes that feat even more amazing.
