Here's Puig's, which is going to be the play of the year for a long time this season:

I think Sale might be healthy again. Nothing doing in Chicago.

I was a little surprised that Harrison seems so anonymous, but I guess he did have just 88 at-bats last year. He's well-known to Buc fans, in his fourth season with the team.

GAH! This sounds a lot worse than Holyfield.

“It was the whole upper part of the ear,” Kasten said. “This is plastic surgery to reattach a portion of the ear and to regrow skin over it. It’s quite complicated.”

We need a ruling of "boys will be boys."

Losing Prince Fielder for the season is nothing more than piling on at this point. They were done when they lost Perez and Harrison for the year on the same day.

To add to Fielder's neck, spare infielder Daniel Robertson has facial fractures. By my count, that's 15 total players on the DL for the Rangers, or 60% of what their normal 25-man roster would've been. It's gone from ridiculous to sublime. I blame Tony Romo.

If Ron Washington gets this team to just .500, he should be AL Manager of the Year. Instead, he'll just get fired.

They were required to provide all of the game balls to the umpire before the game. They admitted that sometimes they were not all from the humidor. There were 2 theories as to how they might have gotten their pitchers more of the deader balls. 1 is that since their pitchers pitched first they just put humidor balls on top. That wouldn't really work IMO. The other is that they trained their pitchers to identify the non humidor balls and ask for a different one.

I am a Rockies fan by the way. I doubted that either method was being used, but the league did state at some point in '09 that they would more closely supervise the selection of balls pre-game, and that's pretty much when CO park factor went back up and I think they did bail on it. The park factor went from 105 to 114 between '08 and '09.

I just can't see how this could go wrong.
