It would be a good trivia question: Who is the last high school hitter to bat fourth in a major league game?

Found this interesting piece on guys who batted cleanup in their debut.

A guy named Kenny Hogan, who was a week shy of his 19th birthday, was the cleanup hitter for the Reds in the last
game of the 1921 season. Had only semi-pro experience.

They batted cleanup in their first major league game

    And more on Hogan:

Brandon Belt, the Giants’ second batter of the game, just flied out to end a 21-pitch at-bat. MLB record. Angels have bullpen up.

As of this moment, Ichiro's batting stat line is BA .257, OBP .257, SLG .257. It's not good, but it's sure consistent.

Lot of fans must be showing up to see that production.

Do these Rockies announcers call all the players by their first name or just a few? "Nolan's got it." I remember the Eagles radio guy used to say "Shady"
every time LeSean McCoy got the ball. Kind of sounds a bit amateurish, like high school announcers where the players are probably their neighbors or
    friends' kids.

And the final tally from the Giants’ top of the first against Jaime Barria: six batters, 49 pitches, and zero runs.

I wager we will never again see a scoreless inning of that length.
