From MLB on Fox Facebook page:

As Bartolo Colón gets ready to start yet another MLB season, here’s a rare photo from his rookie year.

Ive been a huge baseball fan all my life. I give up. I can't watch it. It's awful

Advanced info has made the NBA better, but it's made MLB worse

Just wait until you can gamble in the stadium. Fans will be able to pick up hand-sets, or maybe just use an app on their phone - real time probablility updates with odds. Joe Blow has a 20 percent chance of reaching base, bet "yes" or "no." Team A has a 40 percent chance of getting a run home from second, bet "yes" or "no."
You load up with $100 in credits and can keep playing as long as you have a balance.

If anyone else is still up, Dodgers and Dbacks are in the 15th and it past midnight in Phoenix. 6-6

Dodgers score one in the top of the 15th, and then D-Backs tallied two in the bottom of the inning to win 8-7. Jeff Mathis (geez, is he still around?) singled home the game-winner; according to MLB.com, if he hadn't gotten that hit, he would have pitched the top of the 16th.

Edwin Encarnacion had an inside-the-park home run. The end really is nigh.

I don't care if it is on the last out of a perfect game of 26 strikeouts. If the defense shifts and gives up half the field, the batter should absolutely lay a bunt down for an easy single. That's his damn job.

Reminds me of years ago when Curt Schilling got mad at Ben Davis for bunting for a hit during a perfect game. It was 2-0 and there was a power hitter (Ryan Klesko, I think) on deck. If Davis gets on, Klesko could have tied the game with one swing.

These "unwritten rules" are some stupid bullshit.

EDIT: Found video. It was Bubba Trammell (who hit 25 homers that year) on deck, not Klesko. And Davis hasn't even turned back toward the base before the announcers are bitching about him bunting.

You would think if these rules were so established and well-known, there wouldn’t be so many disputes about them.

Kenley Jansen already has a loss and a blown save (two different games) and has allowed two home runs. Last year he finished with no losses, one blown save and five HRs allowed. Hasn't struck anyone out in his two innings; last year it was 109Ks in 68 IP. Velocity is down too. Says it's no big deal.

If he had done that against the Twins they would have said he was showing them up.
