It does appear that the “start of the season” has concluded and the suggestion that he was not ready for it is indeed spectacularly wrong.

Nothing going on in Mexico through 8 innings and three pitchers

Good line by Dodgers announcer Joe Davis: On a night where Fernando Valenzuela threw out the ceremonial first pitch, Monterrey, Mexico can throw its sombrero in the air.

Nice homage to Vin Scully from Fernando’s no-no

EDIT: Jericho beat me to it

The MLB tv interview with Buehler was great, was like a 10+ second delay. He looks like a high school kid.

Good thing for the Pirates they are such a great team that they didn't need Gerrit Cole. He dominated the Diamondbacks in Arizona, striking out 16 and giving up one hit and one walk in the shut out to drop his ERA to 1.42.

As the Orioles and A’s start the eighth inning 2 hours 46 minutes in already, the pitcher named Dull seems appropriate.

Meanwhile, in his professional debut, Nuke walked 18 and struck out another 18. That's 126 pitches right there with just four-pitch walks and three-pitch strikeouts.

What the hell was the organization doing letting him rack up so many pitches?
