I went back 20 seasons of May 9 Padres games and not once did the teams combine for 19 runs and 19 hits (or either) in those 17 games.

The Padres have scored 66 runs and the teams have combined for 310 hits in the last 17 "Tony Gwynn Birthday" games. The Padres are 5-12 in those games.

Edit: 310 divided by 17 is 18-something; the remainder is too low to nudge it to 19.

ESPN.com's centerpiece headline the other day was actually something like, "Rockets beat Jazz for the second year in a row on May 7."

    I'm not making this up.

Davey Johnson calls Peter Angelos, arguably the worst owner I ever worked for, in his new book. He also worked for Marge Schott.

Marge Schott's team won the World Series.

In my only Coors Field game, a woman took my camera to the bathroom and took topless photos.

Cardinals won in extra innings. I walked back to my downtown hotel room alone.

Pics or GTFO. This one moves to the top of the list.

Tried to watch Giants-Phillies on Facebook and gave up in the bottom of the first. Too much buffering, they were half an inning behind. Good Tebow, who though this was a good idea?

    I blame the Russians.

Yeah, kept freezing up for me as well. I just had it on for background noise. Picture was nice and clear. Just didn't work as needed.

Do you remember trying to watch video on line years ago? They'll get it right.
