That fucking Red Sox clubhouse must be the most boring place in the world for pitchers.

Had to look this up because I couldn’t remember the details:

The Cubs were indirectly part of another unusual trade in 1982.

They played the Mets at Wrigley that afternoon. After the game, New York traded Joel Youngblood to the Expos. He flew to Philadelphia immediately to meet the Expos there and singled that night in their game with the Phillies.

He’s the only guy in MLB history to get a hit for two different teams in the same day in two different cities. And the hits were off of Hall of Famers - Ferguson Jenkins and Steve Carlton.

That time an MLB player got a hit for two teams, in two cities, on the same day

Thus joining Texas and Atlanta in tossing aside ballparks of recent vintage like they were day-old bread.

This is the third time the Fightin’ Kaplers were on Facebook this season I think, but the first time I tried to watch. Awful. Pathetic. Felt like I was using a dial-up connection minus the fax machine sound.

I'm not saying every MLB team needs to hang onto their stadium like it's Wrigley fucking Field (which, frankly, is a garbage stadium), but constructing a building to last 20 years is horrible.

Follow the money. There's a whole industry of fuckers with their hands out when a new stadium gets built.

And with few exceptions, taxpayers foot the bill. Every. Single. Time.

Another Ohtani first: multiple XBH in a game, homer and double.

Is it too much to say that was a spectacular night for him?
