Yes. The home run only cleared the wall in center by about 30 feet so I'd say it was only a fantastic night.

Fastest double of the Angels' season this year. And I think the Angels already have a guy who is really fast, and hits a lot of doubles.

Do you think Ohtani's excellence is motivated by the idea, as proposed by some scouts and prominent sj.com messageboarders, that he could still be demoted to Salt Lake City?

I really hope he wins MVP this year with, say, 120 innings pitched and 400 plate appearances. Coolest MVP ever.

His teammate might have something to say about this, though.

    "Could still," as in, presently?

Or are we talking after 19 plate appearances?

(I am being earnest. I have been informed that there have been a lot of recent "complaints" about me to the moderators by prominent posters, and I want to make clear that I am being earnest.)

    Spectacular.

btw, I was watching that double live. That was a hit we've all seen hundreds/thousands of times, and your brain tells you that it will be a single. It didn't split the gap and reach the wall.
Next thing you know, he is sliding into second.

    Yes.

Last I read from you, however many PAs he had was still too early. You were still posting batting stats of randos who started fast and flamed out.

You changed your post, dude. When it first posted, it read, "Could still," as in, presently? And that is what I was answering.

When I hit the quote button, I guess it picked up your added verbiage.

    Or am I going crazy?

Are you suggesting that whatever point Ohtani's numbers didn't look good, that would be the sample that was viable for Dickie? Hmmm.

He did make quite a big deal out of a minor slump, if I remember correctly.

For the record, I do not think Ohtani is presently in danger of being demoted to Triple A.

(This is intended as an earnest answer, as I have been informed that there have been a lot of recent "complaints" about me to the moderators by prominent posters, and I want to make clear that I am being earnest.)
