He had two rough outings, the one he left early and the one that followed it. Combining those two games, he walked six batters in 7 1/3 innings. Perhaps the blister was an issue in both. In his other three starts, Ohtani has four walks in 19 innings.

You are correct in that he has hit better than he has pitched so far. Though he was clearly ready for the majors as a hitter and pitcher when the season started, Ohtani is still just a 23-year-old rookie.

Sunday's game at the Big A is going to be sick. Ohtani on the mound, Halos playing well, great weather...Mother's Day. BOOM!

McCutchen returning to Pittsburgh this weekend for a series between teams doing way better than most people expected.

Beautiful self-explanatory stat line from today's White Sox-Cubs blowout:

    A. Bummer 0.1 2 4 0 1 0 0

    Yes, it was.

See, that's what happens when they finally build public transit to the stadium. Time to move ...

Maybe if he only went 6 and did some yoga he'd have something left in Sept and the postseason.

Fightin' Kaplers let the Mets off the hook. Had Matz on the ropes all night and only got a first-inning home run from Herrera to show for it.

SuperManagerMike(TM) fucked up the bullpen again and allowed the Halos to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

How long is Artie gonna hang with this guy???
