Perhaps they're not educated enough to get away with it? I imagine the percent use across all nationalities is about even. The education level of all baseball players is, however, not the same. How many guys who went to SEC schools are getting nabbed? Not many. They've been shown the way :)

    Questions, always questions:
Is Cano better than Kent? No, but neither of them are HOFers.
Does Cano's Home Run Derby numbers need an *? No one cares.

The possibility that Braun had been framed added to the story.

Didn't check the numbers yet, but I'm pretty confident that Cano was better than Kent even if you don't count defense.

    Don’t bother, doesn’t matter.

Who actually said he was clean? I'd love to see any posts on SJ.com or articles elsewhere that made such a claim. Sounds like you are taking a whack at a straw man there, one you've taken plenty of swings at in the past.

You are right that there was a controversy regarding the flawed process and the appeal, through which the suspension was correctly overturned. Also lost in that was MLB's failure to live up to its side of the collective bargaining agreement by once again allowing confidential information to be leaked to the public.

Agreed. Braun was an MVP in his prime. Cano is a great player, but he is past his prime and apparently there will be no appeal, so it definitely isn't as big of a deal.

Lasix (furosemide) is one of the most prescribed drugs in the US, used as a "water pill" for those with BP issues. It can be used to mask PEDs in testing hence the reason it is banned. If prescribed for legitimate reasons I am certain a player can get a waiver for its use (a la Adderall for ADHD).

Especially given your current crusade against Dick, this reply is nonsense.
