At least the Giants' season isn't a total waste. They get in the franchise record books with an 11-game losing streak, their longest ever in San Francisco.

Nothing going on in Minnesota after 7.

    Odorizzi's at 109 pitches.

Never mind. Greg Bird with an RBI double with one out in the eighth. Odorizzi's out now.

Trevor Story will be the NL MVP

He is barely in the top five in anything (HRs, fifth) despite playing home games at Coors. He is 18th in OPS+.

    How is he MVP?

    He feels like an MVP.

He leads the lead in total bases, extra base hits and RBI, is tied for first in doubles, fourth in slugging, fifth in homers tied for fifth in steals and sixth in OPS.

But yeah, other than that has done nothing

    LOL. Total bases.

Not quite an LOL but still funny: RBI.

Do you honestly think he's having a better year than Goldschmidt, Carpenter, Baez, either Brewer, or even the guy standing to his right every night?

    ETA: I forgot Freeman too.

No but I see a shortstop with 40 -plus doubles, 35-plus homers, 100-plus RBI hitting around .300 with 25-plus stolen bases and coming up with big hits in the final month for a team that has a chance to win the NL's most competitive divisional race.

To a lot of people that results in an MVP
