He won't finish in the top five.

It's Coors Field. Nobody cares about those numbers. Arenado has been way better in recent years, with a couple of seasons that he led the league in HRs and RBIs and total bases, and he never got above fifth.

Javy Baez is the best player on the best team. He's the MVP.

Baez will win by a large margin.

Probably if the season ended today. But they're in a dogfight for the division and could even miss out on the wild card. Goldschmidt would be a strong candidate if the D-backs end up there.

Seeing a lot of talk about Scherzer, but I don't understand. Doesn't seem like he's having one of those transcendent pitcher years a la Kershaw or Verlander.

Baez just surprise bunted the go-ahead run in -- RBI!! -- in top-10.

Well that's it. He's the MVP.

3 hits today, including homer, which have tied the game (once) or given the Cubs the lead (twice).

Baez doesn't lead in anything except worthless RBI. But he's in the mix in everything, so his defense will help him rise above.

Maddon lets Strop hit with bases loaded and 1 out in top-10. Strop hits into 5-2-3 double play and pulls his hamstring landing on the bag. Now he can't pitch bottom-10. Rosario in.

    Story at Coors: 1.018 OPS, 23 HRs (13.5 PAs/HR)
Story away from Coors: .794 OPS, 10 HRs (30.1 PAs/HR)

In the real world, he's a pretty good shortstop.

I think it should be DeGrom or Scherzer.
