You are responding to an imaginary post.

Oh they were wrong. Probably should be fired from their jobs if their other judgments are that bad.

    PA's 20 thru 26: 2 for 7 (GASP! only .286) yet both hits accounted for 4 runs.

He was ready for the major leagues.

Now wait to see what PA's 27 thru 100 bring. Then 100 thru 200. Rinse and Repeat.

    Same with pitching.

    But, he was ready.

The 8 scouts, 100 years of scouting, all of them said he wasn't READY. That was a spectacular failure on their part.

Passan simply parroted what they said. He had zero clue what to expect.

I don't care what he's done through 26 plate appearances. I care what he did through 19.

Right. That's what I've been saying. It wasn't Jeff Passan's opinion. Jeff Passan was reporting a collection of opinions.

Good, because they were spectacularly wrong in their assessment thru 19 at-bats.

I don't have the energy to go read it again but what exactly DID Passan say that was his own opinion about Ohtani?

    Nothing.

I saw every one of his first 19 at bats. I saw practically every pitch of his first two starts. He's practically a man playing with boys. He's uber-talented.

The incongruity of the eight scouts, Bloom, and Passan's opinions (I'll just call them idiots from now on), and what was happening on the field, was laughable.

    You are almost certainly correct.
