The nightmare is over ... Well, at least interrupted: Angels beat the Red Sox 5-2.
Ohtani goes seven and hits a 2-run homer.

I've got to admit, I didn't know he gets up to 101 on the gun. Maybe that's because he looks relatively effortless in his delivery.

Biggest surprise of all surprises: Velazquez hits a 2-out, 3-run homer. Came on a 1-2 pitch after Sawamura made Velazquez look foolish, swinging at 2 sliders in the dirt. Sawamura throws him a belt-high fastball down the middle. Maybe the analytics dictated that pitch. Even JC could have hit that one over the fence.

2006 would like it’s analytics take back.

And my shoulder wound have had me pop up to short?

Tigers No. 1 draft choice SP Casey Mize, gone for the rest of 2022 and probably 2023 -- Tommy John surgery.

Twins No. 1 prospect SS Royce Lewis, gone for the rest of 2022 and questionable for 2023 -- torn ACL in same knee that was reconstructed last season.

The AL Central is not allowed to have nice things.

We gotta get a constitutional amendment or something against in-game interviews. This Apple TV+ broadcast is a step forward from previous weeks, but still dreadful.

DeSantis or Trump using Apple TV MLB broadcasts to torture people come 2025 would be the one thing all Americans could get behind. Watching this Mets game is fucking, well, torture.
