Gave a good speech once.

 

Pretty soon, announcers can stop telling us Adley Rutschman has one of the lowest chase rates in baseball. Because that's going to be the reality for the next 12-15 years.

 

Give 'em some slack. The kid is barely over 200 career-at bats. I'm sure there are quite a few casual fans who don't know everything about him just yet.

 

They knew Keith Law would pan the deal because he thinks Duke’s Mayo only has a plus arm instead of a plus-plus arm.

 

Fair enough.

 

Four of the eight position-player starters from that 2018 team are in MLB: Rutschman, Nick Madrigal, Steven Kwan and Trevor Larnach. It was a very good team.

Rose can't go in until Jackson does.

 

A case of reasonable doubt can be made for Jackson. He tried to return the money he originally accepted, and was the leading hitter in the 1919 Series, even though he did have a few questionable plays in the field.

The case can be made (not saying I necessarily agree) that he was a victim of arbitrary justice, meted out by a commissioner with a clear agenda, that equally penalized the clearly innocent (Weaver), the probably innocent (Jackson) and the clearly guilty (the other seven).

There is no question Rose bet. None at all.
