It's been an amazing story, particularly since Miguel Cabrera has all of 11 extra-base hits this season. I know they won't but the Tigers should consider buying out the $32M they owe him for 2023 and name him a bench coach or something instead of taking up a roster space.

His knee is so bad he might consider it
I think he has too much pride to go out like this

Went to the Mariners-Braves game today, first time in Safeco/T Mobile in about 18 years. Great game, beautiful ballpark.

That was a hell of a finish. I don't say that just because Rodriguez's second home run was a three-point swing in my favor in a fantasy league. Honest. :)

So great when you look for something on the internet and find exactly the thing - a season long chart on where teams crashed and burned. Always thought seeing one of these for a NASCAR season or race would be interesting.

Trout just homered in his seventh consecutive game. Ties Kevin Mench’s record for a right-handed hitter. Ninth player overall to do it.

I remember Kevin Mench. He didn't have a long career but he was a real player of integrity and honor, someone to admire and emulate, of noble character.

He had 89 career homers. So he hit 8% of his eight-year career homers in a week's span.
