    I haven’t seen more gutless teams in the Central than this year’s Twins and White Sox since the Sox flew up the white flag in 1997.

    They just fold at the first sign of distress.

    I'm not a Twins fan, so I'm not apologizing for them, but what happened to them was more of a fall apart than a fold. They managed to get through six months without Buxton running into a wall and he still got hurt. Their starting pitching was suspect and they had a ton of injuries. As for the White Sox, I'm assuming it was all Tony's fault.

    Phillies' magic number is down to 2 after a six-inning, 8-1 win over Washington. Miami-Milwaukee just went into the 11th tied at 3; a Brewers loss drops the Phils' number to 1.
