Is that a new rule? Seems like they used to stick with that last game right up until the hard out at 8 p.m., and even sacrifice the touchdown montage if need be.

Whatshisname said it at the end of the broadcast a week or two ago. I’m not sure how long it has been that way.

Today is the 71st anniversary of the Shot Heard 'Round the World. One of the great photos from that day, along with Robinson watching Thomson round the bases to make sure he touched them all, and Branca on the stairs in the locker room.

The home run ball has never been found.

Never a fan of LaRussa, but if those are truly his words, then good on him for what he said.

Nothing more on brand than goalmouth coming onto a thread to shit on a sport for no reason. Just stick to wishing death on Trump, dude.

That wall was 17 feet high. Left fielder Andy Pafko was 6-0. That photo makes it feel much taller.

Entering tonight, only 10 players have 100 or more RBI. Seven others are at 96, 97 or 98, so the list will probably grow. In 1999, a whopping 59 had 100 or more.

I’m not going to look it up but didn’t Yaz win the batting title in 1968 with a .301. The only player in baseball to hit over 300 and qualify for a batting title?
