Today’s loss was a crusher for sure, but they really stole Game 2 in Toronto, so maybe this is karma for two outfielders colliding.

Or it just could be that the Astros have absolutely owned Seattle for the past several seasons.

Never so happy to watch a playoff game not involving a team I root for, just to not have to hear the Rev. Costas.

I've got to hand it to the Guardians. They have achieved a great deal for a team that can't hit the ball hard. They are defined more by what they don't do. They don't strike out and they don't walk people.
They're going to be eliminated in relatively short order in this series, but the extremely intimidating Blue Jays wish they were in the Guardians' position.

For all the times Reggie Jackson admired his home runs, I can't remember a single time he got thrown out on the bases if there was any question about the ball not clearing the wall. But my memory isn't what it used to be, since I apparently watched an era where every pitcher lobbed the ball underhand and every batter bunted.

Don Drysdale and Bob Gibson were sissy boys. Just imagine the next at-bat.

They used what they had to max out that team. Their only hope of a sustained playoff run is Jose Ramirez single-handedly powering them enough offensively. The Yankees are smart enough to not let him do that. I expect he’ll be worked around all series.

If they got more in the third after loading the bases, their bullpen can win that game, but the Yankees are an awful match-up for them.
