If Philly can get three outs out of Robertson in the eighth, Thomson just might put Aaron Nola out there for the ninth. It's his throwing day anyway.

It's also been an ass series to watch, one of the duller ALCS I can remember.

Wheeler, Nola and a 3-1 lead. I'd say they're sitting pretty good

Yankee fans are really letting Donaldson have it on social media.

Might be the only thing that's kept him from receiving their scorn this long.

His repeated two-month calf injury absences made him a real fan favorite in Minnesota. Ironically, he is making the same salary ($23M) Joe Mauer did during the infamous "bilateral leg weakness" season of 2011.

IMHO the problem with being a Superstar is that everyone assumes that you’re just going to ne hot through the postseason.

Mantle hit .257 lifetime in PS (.908 OPS)

Reggie, Mr. October, .278 lifetime in PS (OPS .885)

Mickey Mantle: 42 Run, 18 HR and 40 RBI in 230 at bats in the World Series. Reggie Jackson, 18 HR and 48 RBI in 281 at bats in the post season, PLUS 10 HR and 24 RBI and a .357/.457/.755 line in the World Series. Using batting average to determine what a slugger did or didn't do is not fruitful inquiry.
