    It was only Buehler’s third complete game in his fifth year as a starter.

    His counting stats are interesting. He’s has 98 starts (107 games) and has a record of 42-14. I know wins have been devalued, but his team has won 75 percent of the games where he’s had a decision.

    The career 2.89 ERA helps. For those fans of advanced metrics, he was fourth in the majors in Adjusted ERA+ last season behind only Burnes, Scherzer, and Woodruff. He has plenty of run support, but the list of current MLB pitchers on Buehler's level is very short.
