Did it take you eight seconds to come up with that response? (Have I made too many of those jokes lately? Nah!)

Y'all can bring it up all you like. I stopped caring if that team wins or loses a long time ago, but I still notice when they prove me right about the flaws in MLB's financial system. They also prove me right about Bob Nutting being among the very worst owners in professional sports. Hell, he might actually be the worst right now.

Don't forget that Musgrove was the best of the players the Pirates received in exchange for Cole. I guess that would be a consolation for Pirates fans. They couldn't have had both. Musgrove had trouble staying healthy and putting it all together as a Pirate. He seems to be doing both with the Padres. The killer part of the Cole trade is that it sort of led to the disastrous deal for Chris Archer. They were on the fringes of contention the season after trading Cole, then made noise about trading for an ace, something they wouldn't have needed if they hadn't traded theirs away before the seasons started. Being the Pirates, they went looking for any decent pitcher with a team-friendly contract, then overpaid in talent to get him. To be fair, it doesn't look quite as bad now that injuries have derailed all three guys they gave up, Austin Meadows, Tyler Glasnow, and Shane Baz, but it was still a tremendous amount of value for a mediocre, injury-prone pitcher.

They did get some value for Musgrove. David Bednar was part of that trade, but of course, they would be much better off with Musgrove. The Taillon trade looked terrible at the time, but Roansy Contreras took a huge step forward as a prospect last season and he has shown promise in AAA and in the majors this season.

That said, I imagine they'd be a bit better off with Musgrove and Taillon leading their rotation this season.

Why would you admit you being a heavy gambler in a sport with serious issues with gambling in the past?

I absolutely love the Pederson/Pham fantasy football beef. It's fucking great that this is somehow a story.
