I probably should have phrased it like @Hermes! :D

Orioles aren't done, but there's a real lack of urgency being displayed by Elias. These windows are often closed while appearing wide open. Cleveland never won another playoff series after coming within a win of the 2016 title. Losing Burnes is fine, but Elias has to do more to replace him than take a flier on 35-year-old Tomoyuki Sugano and sign Morton.

The last time Verlander pitched in San Francisco, he was getting smacked around by Pablo Sandoval in the 2012 World Series.

He was in his 8th year in the league in that World Series. It’s been 12 years since.

I've never seen someone lose his FB (and stuff) as quickly as Lincecum without an injury. Man he was electric, then it became 88 mph FBs and 84 splits.

Verlander is a perfectly good one-year signing. Would love to see him get 300 wins....seems like he really wants it and he's not a union hawk like Scherzer, so he'll have an easier time finding work if he's effective. He missed two years (basically, he made one start in 2020 before getting hurt) at the worst possible time to try and finish that pursuit.
