Alcohol sales enjoy a sudden spike at Citizens Bank Park.

Mark Vientos, who just hit a two-run jack to give the Mets an early lead, is a fun story.

Didn’t make the Opening Day roster. Beat out by Baty and lost out at DH when they signed JD Martinez.

Baty struggled. Vientos got his shot, hits 27 homers and plays adequately at third base, which was a concern.

Mets seem to have found their third baseman (or first base if Alonso leaves in free agency).

Also seems like a well-liked, fun guy.

To say the natives are getting restless would be a gross understatement.

And there’s a drive to left by Castellanos.

Brand new game. Harper resurrected the Phillies. Helluva good at-bat on that homer.

That should keep the boo-birds off Castellanos' ass for about two innings.

If the Mets fall behind going into the 8th, they’ll have the Phillies right where they want them…

These Mets are doing what most teams can’t do in October : Score after the 5th inning.

Hoo boy. Mets caught a break there. I didn’t think Schwarber went around. Out of a big jam on a sketchy call.
