    "One goddamn hit?"

That's all the Mets got against the Brewers. They're back, baby.

Great start for the Rockies, giving up a 14-run inning. Yesterday might be as close to .500 as they will be all season.

Too damn early in the season for the Padres to be looking like a slo-pitch softball team.

Turquoise and yellow and pink ... oh my.

Or as the sports anchor at one of our local stations called it last season, the rainbow sherbet look.

Myself, I think Jeff McNeil is a whiny bitch.

Bit of a late slide and McNeil overreacted.

Also, Hoskins has always been a dirty bitch with a history of dirty shit and will always will have dirty Phillies stink on him.

    Both things can be true.

Q: How do you fuck up something like this?
    A; You're the Giants!

Quick start version in case it's paywalled. Giants sold tiles to fans as part of construction of now-Oracle Park as well as at the site of a statue of Willie McCovey at the entrance to McCovey Cove. Giants moved statue closer to the yard after 2019 season. Project completed earlier this month. But several tiles were damaged during the construction and could not be reused. Do they make new tiles? No, they make a sideshow to be displayed inside the park

Guardians did something similar last year and it caused an uproar. They had plaques like that installed at the stadium when it was built in the ‘90s. They had been moved once and now it was time to totally remove them for whatever reason — their claim that they were crumbling and it was a hazard, reality more like they were right in the way of the next round of construction. Part of the plan was to take pictures and post them online for you to look at.

Word of it came out of nowhere. The people revolted and forced them to stage an impromptu giveaway the following weekend. All turned out well — hundreds of people showed up to get their plaques, everyone lived nostalgically and moved on.

Giants should take a page …

There’s nothing dirty about it, he maintained contact with the base. Good clean hard slide, McNeil is a baby, did he not expect him to try to break it up?

Nothing you said makes anything I said untrue.

This is horrible. A group of us bought one to commemorate the death of a friend, who died from leukemia. We visited it a couple of times about 10 years ago during annual gatherings. I'll contact my pals who live up there and see if they have gotten any notification.
