Giants are stepping in it left and right this year. I get why they didn’t bring Crawford back, but at a vet minimum to mentor Luciano and have a goodbye for fans would have been nice. Or at least after last year make it clear they wanted room on the 26 so it was a clean back.

Also the “we want to break even” comment. Although that went away with the signings they made.

    Then the PA announcer.

    Now this.

They are ruining what made the Giants special. It was and always has been a bond with the fans that they took very seriously. It was a two way street. We loved them, they made us feel part of it. Now it’s more like we should love them with our money and that’s all they care about.

McNeil knows he botched the transfer of the ball from the glove and used Hoskins as a scapegoat.

Maybe? I'm not a mind reader. McNeil is a red-ass. And Hoskins is a red-ass and it's not the first time there's been an issue. There's a history. It's not like that all happened in a vacuum.

For better or worse, the way the rule now is, infielders on that play don't expect to get their legs rolled up.

I don't share twitter stuff any longer, but I did pop on to see what the reaction was. There's a great Jomboy lip-reading breakdown of it if anyone is so inclined. Very funny.

I'll add last fall, when Andrew Baggarly reported Mike Murphys office had been converted into office space for the analytics staff. For those outside the Bay Area, Murphy was one of the first people hired by the Giants when they moved to The City after serving as a bat boy for the Seals. Was bat boy, the visiting clubhouse manager, then Giants clubhouse manager. It was the place Mays and a lot of the Giants alumni used to hang out when they visited. A very beloved figure most folks never met,but still a big part of the family.

Luis Arraez o-for-11 to start the season.

I believe his longest hitless streak last year was 15 ABs.

If they don’t correct soon, I might become an A’s fan and change my avatar to Reggie!!

I guess I have an element of “man yells at cloud” going on. I’ve been grumbling for a while now at the state of the team, but I’ll admit in a first-world problems kind of way. As God as my witness, I’d set fire to Third and King if they even sniffed A’s level of willful incompetence.

Orioles are just tattooing the Angels' pitching staff. Eight balls today at 99.9 mph exit or better. And Henderson is a double short of the cycle.

EDIT: They are on their 10th batter of the sixth inning. The first nine all reached base safely and scored.

The way my phone keeps bringing me Giant controversy stories - don't forget they hired a new concessionaire with a checkered past, I think the Chronicle may want to add a new beat. Do they have a new team President who just really, really sucks? I know their ownership is littered with Trumpers who pass "head owner" title around now and then, but my goodness.

Jason Benetti might have been the Tigers' best offseason pickup.

I hope these first two games in Baltimore or more the Orioles being really good than the Angels headed toward their first-ever 100-loss season. Of course, if a season like that would convince Arte to finally sell the team, it wouldn't be all bad.
