We all know the reply to the old line, "That's 5-3 if you're scoring at home."

    Guess who has 10 K's in 4 1/3?

The guy who should start for the NL on Tuesday, that's who.

Nothing happening in Milwaukee through seven, and Skenes has thrown 99 pitches.

    If it's gonna be a no-no, it'll be a combined no-no.

    EDIT: Second fucking pitch.

If the season ended today, the Mets would be in the playoffs. Also, if the season ended today, we'd all be more than a little bit surprised.

At least Holderman didn't blow the lead, too.

You know what impressed me most about Skenes today? After he ran up the pitch count early, he recognized it and managed it. He threw 13 pitches total in his final two innings, because he was more focused on making them pound the ball into the ground than ringing up more Ks.

Apologies to tap for my post on Wednesday morning. Just going through a stretch where the Os can’t hit. At all. Two runs in 23 innings ain’t beating anyone. Also go Rays.

No problem. With you, that is.
And, yes, go Rays. Disappoint the locals and beat the Evildoers.
