I'm sure the studio worked like hell to get four songs within that girl's six-note range.

Ever run into former NHL and MLB broadcaster Ken Wilson, by chance? IIRC, he was commish of some league. Think it was based in Portland.

It is a matter of time before one of those kids in the outfield isn’t paying attention takes one in the skull.

Have to chuckle at Bohm being No. 1 through four guys. Everybody thought he was only a line-drive gap hitter.

Imagine if the All-Star Game were in Baltimore or Boston or San Francisco or one of those damn libruhl cities. The Trumpists would be calling it an affront.

Alonso should have had Grimace pitch to him.

Seems like a lot of those kids in the outfield are older than they used to be and there are fewer of them out there. I remember when they used to have a whole bunch of young little leaguers who looked like they were about to kill each other if a ball came near them.

How did the Pirates' first-round pick spend draft day?
    Here you go.

But his pitcher is Dave Jauss ... son of Bill Jauss of "Sportswriters on TV" fame!

"Just like everyone thought," he said upon clinching a spot in the next round.

Jauss threw Alonso a crummy round of pitches. He's not going to make the semis.
