All I know about him is he broadcasted Lou Brown’s last 12-13 years as Mud Hens manager.

    RIP and condolences to all.

Cantillo has made one start. More concerning for Baltimore is losing to Carlos Carrasco, who by his own admission is throwing pig slop up there.

I guess Blake Snell wasn't the five-inning pitcher I thought he was. Quite the night.

I know one contender that could have used him.

    Freaking Judge.

July 9 was the first time this season he finished five innings. He’s gone 7, 6, 6, 9 since.

I wonder what the ask from the Giants was. Probably Holliday and others plus the contract.

The best thing about last night -- and Gregory Soto wasn't it -- Holliday worked a long-count walk and hit two rope singles. He looked like he had a much better clue.

Some guy on X made the very good point, and I'm paraphrasing, that Brandon Hyde is holding tryouts right now in preparation for a push for the final six weeks. I seriously doubt you'll see anything like this lineup on September 1.

Good home debut for Turner. And if Robles keeps this up, JP Crawford won’t be hitting leadoff when he comes off the injured list.

    That’s an odd lineup.

In 1977 Billy Martin had Reggie pull a lineup out of a hat. It all worked out, eventually.

As good of a story as KC is, that bullpen is atrocious.
James McArthur couldn’t get me out.
Absolutely jerked off a 3-0 lead.

That was absolutely as good a result as anybody had a right to expect with that lineup. 15 hits, and every new guy swung the bat well. Even Mayo with a hard 0-for-3.

    And Eflin was very solid.
