Rockies are going to be historically bad. Absolute garbage starting pitcher, not a hitter in sight.

Going out on a limb here ...

The Nats have sent James Wood down to the minors for the start of the 2024 season. I presume that is a ploy to add a year to the time span before Wood becomes eligible for salary arbitration.

I say that because the Nats are carrying 4 outfielders on their major league roster as of today.

This statement is true: The Nats do not have 4 outfielders under their control who are better than James Wood as of today.

This statement is speculative: The Nats do not have even 1 outfielder who is better than James Wood as of today.

They haven't opened the pocketbook quite yet, but gestures like this certainly make the vibe feel promising.

Another walk-off win for the Baby Birds, who certainly seem to be picking up where they left off (well, at least in the regular season).

You wouldn't know it by listening to Birdland. ;)

They did get one-hit by Cole Ragans for 6 1/3 before scratching their way back.

Yeah but Ragans looks like a legit ace...and the rare one acquired in a trade. The Rangers will never regret that trade b/c they won it all, but credit to the Royals for seizing on their eagerness and perhaps their unfamiliarity with an inherited prospect.

Are the Cubs decent or are the Rockies terrible? They lost on a Little League home run in the series opener.

The Rockies are a bottom three team in MLB.
