Before we we say this, can we wait until he actually spends the money?

Signing one homegrown stud long-term and letting the rest walk would be an upgrade on what Sonny Boy would have done.

The Royals could move to Montreal and not change their nickname, thus saluting Jackie Robinson's Triple A team.

I watched quite a bit of the Cubs game. Ryan Spilborghs reported it as 26 degrees with the wind chill.

He’s at a disadvantage for the Cy Young Award because unlike all the other candidates, he can’t pile up strikeouts by facing the Mariners.

Shohei Ohtani hit his first Dodgers homer tonight. I wonder if he had any money on it. (Too soon?)

Ah yes, the old Mike Trout, Kris Bryant playbook. Keep them on the farm for a month until it pushes their clock back a year.

Was just coming to post that.

The O's looked like hot garbage for much of that game but I've learned that a 3-0 deficit with six outs to play with is not insurmountable with that team.

I'm all for clamoring for the young guys, especially when dudes like Urias and Mateo continue to be black holes at the plate. The pitching to me is the bigger concern. We have no idea what's going to happen with Bradish, and the dropoff from Burnes/Rodriguez right now is STEEP. Cole Irvin cannot be a part of the rotation for a team with serious WS aspirations.

Jays offence is non-existent right now, couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. Dumptrucked in Houston with a trip to the Bronx next.
