MLB '24 Regular Season Thread

    When the Phillies won in 1980, I was there and it was great. But I also remembered my family's next door neighbor when I was a little kid, Mr. Himes. There was a strip of land separating our two driveways. He grew flowers, my Dad grew vegetables. We'd meet when I had weeding duty and commiserate about the Phils (check the records from like 1956-1961 to see that misery was our company). Things happen, and I never found out, but I sure hope Mr. Himes made it to 1980. My suspicion is 1977 did him in.

    Yes, but look at the bright side...Mrs. Autry got to hoist the trophy, but the title came at a cosmic price so steep that it ensures Arte Moreno will never get to do the same.

    They are the worst. I am always perversely happy when they get smoked in them, as is happening tonight. It's like MLB has an anti-marketing department.
