MLB '24 Regular Season Thread

This season, I don't think there is much of an argument against Ohtani. Some people thought it was crazy that Judge beat him out in 2022, but fielding was a factor then. Brian Kenny laid out a great argument for why Judge was more valuable because of his defensive contribution along with his monster offensive numbers. I wish I still had a link to it. Not playing the field at all should matter some, but WAR does seem to overinflate that impact.

 

I'm very curious as to which is thought of as the most iconic single-game performance: Ohtani's or Mark Whiten's.

 

Did Whitten become a 30-30 or 40-40 or 50-50 during his game?

Matt Carpenter hit three homers and two doubles in a game vs the Cubs in 2018.

I'm not sure that's part of the question. I dunno, maybe it is. But I'm thinking about on its own, by itself, which was the Best Single Game?
