Except for those times when 90+ and 100+ win NL teams were left out without the DH. And the fact the AL is pretty meh.

But it’s also dumb that teams just need to aspire to meh and can get into the playoffs.

The stupidity of the following sentence drives me insane:
If the Orioles take one of the final three games against the Yankees and the two teams end the season with the same record, Baltimore would hold the tiebreaker advantage over New York.

Hey, moron. The teams are separated by six games right now. They both have six to play. If the Orioles take one of the games with the Yankees, the teams cannot finish the season with the same record. It is not possible.

My other peeve is "the (any team) can clinch a postseason spot with a win over (opponent) and a loss by (another team.)"
No. That it not what you mean. What you mean is this: "The Orioles will clinch a postseason spot if X, Y and Z occur.)

It's so easy, and fun, to shit on this guy. Anthony Rendon with his own 50/50 club

Tigers win again. Will they lose the rest of the way? White Sox in town this weekend.

This was the key one. Skubal on the mound against a Rays team coming in on a four-game win streak. Puts serious pressure on Royals and Twins to keep pace. Also would allow Hinch to save Skubal for Game 1 of the wild card if the Tigers clinch a spot before the season finale on Sunday.

A very tidy 1:59 game with tremendous pitching from both teams. The only difference was Perez's bases-loaded ground-rule double in the fifth off a tiring Pepiot.

If the Tigers had kept Flaherty, they would be legitimately terrifying in a three or five-game series.

Nobody wanted Kimbrel. Which does not surprise.

Remember the talk at the trade deadline about Skubal?
Thankfully, as we've discussed previously, Detroit stayed the course.

A glimmer of hope shines in the Bronx.
