He wouldn't hit .330 today. He'd never get to discover his natural greatness. People would be drilling launch angle into him from the time he was 12 years old onward.

True story. My kid, and all of his 9-year-old friends, and some younger ones, are all well aware of their launch angle and exit velo, thanks to Hit Tracks, or whatever it’s called. I was taught to hit it where it was pitched. These kids are taught to hit it in the third deck, no matter where it’s pitched. And if they don’t get it there, try again next at-bat.

Yeah I figured I was too conservative declaring Tony would have until 12 before super genius coaches told him how wrong he was trying to simply put the ball in play.

Love that little yard. Went to a game there in 2017 in which Guerrero, Biggio and Bichette were all in the lineup. John Schneider was managing thr D-Jays then and he got tossed. As he walked by our seating section, he apologized to a family on the front row. “Sorry for the language there.” One of the kids asked what happened and Dad said, “He got sent to timeout.” After the game, Guerrero, who was then, I think, 18, stuck around and signed autographs and chatted with fans for nearly half an hour. One of my favorite baseball experiences ever.

Do the Brewers have the best catcher in baseball? I think the Brewers might have the best catcher in baseball.

    Thanks Braves!

Ravecb, Cone, Perez are so good.
They just spent a half-inning messing with pitchcom…..they were going through the voices…..Cone wishes he would have had the Fred Sanford voice….”throw the curveball ya big dummy!”
