I choose my words very carefully. Especially when it comes to ball.
It's not a stretch. The last wave of big prospect arms all had TJ also. Strasburg, Jose Fernandez (who was even better after surgery), then-highly regarded Harvey, and so on.

Smoltz had it done in 2000, and much of his Hall-level success came in the post-surgery half of his career.

That is the first time I've ever seen that (and against the Tigers no less! Plus previously mentioned Craig Monroe gets picked off at the end of the clip)

There's also the one the NESN faithful simply call "The Boob Grab."

Why? Is it somehow more structurally sound than the birth version?

I’m going to be real interested to see the announced attendance of Game 2 between the Royals and White Sox.
Honest to goodness…..I bet there isn’t 1500 people in the stands.

Wish I had the answer for you, TV. You would think it would be weaker, but ...

I've got to think, if I have a son who comes to me and says he wants TJ as elective surgery, I would say, "Over my dead rotator cuff." (Which it is.)

We we can feel better for a night at least: Angels down 4-3 in the top of the ninth, one out, runners on second and third, and Rendon hits a sharp single to left for what originally was a two-run single, but Zach Neto was called out after review, so it was just a game-tying single. Meanwhile, Rendon went to second on the throw home, so Trout gets walked, and Taylor Ward hits and single, and Rendon is easily safe at home. Hunter Strickland gets the save in the bottom of the ninth, and the Halos win 5-4.

...... after Strickland gave up a 3-2 lead by allowing a two-run homer to Rosario in the bottom of the eighth. Strickland blew the save and vultured the win.

MEL GIBSON EAT YOUR HEART OUT!!!!

That's on the short list for best baseball broadcast moments ever. And how about Curt Schilling--who only "collects" Nazi memorabilia because he "has an interest in World War II"--pitching during it? Isn't it ironic?
