One thing that struck me about Holliday in his short stay was, for his defense being lauded, he was incredibly nonchalant finishing off 4-3s. Every time.

I am fascinated by how they're going to take all of these buns out of the oven at the same time. Will they be active trade partners, etc. Having talent begets more opportunity.

This is the big thing. When I worked in junior hockey (and we were drafting 16 year old kids) my boss, who was the coach and GM, always said you are supposed to hit on your top two or three picks (and we definitely didn't always do that) and he'd tell the scouts to finds a guy in the sixth, eighth, 11th round who could play on our team. Finding those guys is what scouts get paid for, you find a few of them late who can be key pieces - and we did, on occasion - it's like finding money in the street.

Guys like Steven Kwan, 5th round in 2018, are where scouts make their bones.

Heh. I saw an O's graphic saying Kyle Stowers up, McKenna DFA. Now I see it's Kjerstad optioned out. That would seem to make more sense.

According to the Orioles' social media, it's Hays being reinstated from the IL and McKenna DFA. Also, Stowers up and Kjerstad back to Norfolk.

Ahhhh. If McKenna's gone, I hope somebody picks him up. O's fan base has unfairly villified him.

Sixty percent of these Orioles kids are arb eligible and there's an art to making sure who gets paid first and how much. They should extend Rutschman or Henderson soon.

Not sure there’s a fatter back-to-back lineup combo than Vogelsong and Kirk in Toronto. Chonk city.

At least Kirk has good contact skills and plays a premium position. The voodoo magic Vogelbach has on GMs mystifies me.
