That's exactly right. This broadcast is horribly biased. But, then, I remember Thorne used to be a Mets radio man.

Thorne is insufferable even when he doesn't have a rooting interest.

Somewhere, BYH is thankful Nomar just tied the score with that hit.

Color me reactionary, but something about Oktoberfest music and Shea does not quite square.

Oh good, Joe Morgan made it to Yankee Stadium.

    WHY DO WE CARE?

OK I gotta say it. (and my apologies if this is a repeat ... I'm too lazy to read all six pages at the moment) It feels strangely warm to know that the Braves won't flop in October. My pick for a fall swoon? The Dodgers, who have a ton of ex-Braves in uniform, including Grady Little, who managed in the Atlanta system for years before getting the Red Sox job. That'll make me smile if it happens, but not as much as Tom Glavine (greedy rat - OK, I've gone there before) getting rocked in Game 2.

Thorne just said Jonathan Braxton was pitching. Actually, it's Broxton.

    BRUTAL.

But at least he's not saying "Hotel California" 20 times.

Thorne called the Reyes liner to Kent a hit.

Wow, that is so fucking homerish.

Jeff Kent's head has been up his ass all day. The stupid baserunning play on the two tag-outs at home (everyone in the ballpark knew it was off the wall except him), just letting a grounder go by a couple of innings ago, and then the misplay on the line drive.

    Two more thoughts.

    1. QUIT SHOWING JOHN MCENROE. Or at least someone buy him a hot dog, it looks like he weighs 60 pounds.

    2. I hope plate umpire John Hirschbeck doesn't move on to the next series. His strike zone was the size of a credit card in the first few innings, then there was never an outside corner when there were left-handers at the plate in the late innings.

Why the hell did Betemit just try taking third?

    It means NOTHING.

The only way the Dodgers will advance through the postseason, taking third in that situation means EVERYTHING for this year's club.
