Oh, the things you miss when covering prep football.

The Yanks were shutout and are staring at a 2-1 hole...WTF is going on?

Loved this nugget from the AP story:

The Big Unit allowed five runs and eight hits in 5 2/3 innings, losing his eighth straight division series decision.

"I kept us in it for five innings," he said. "At least I felt I did that."

A dream, my friend. Now I just hope that the Tigers finish the series quickly tomorrow.

Flight to Los Angeles leaves in two hours.

Hopefully they remember they're playing in an elimination game.

That wasn't against or for the Yankees, so I'm pretty sure it never happened.

    His team lost.

It's obviously worthless when your team loses.

    Make up your mind.

What is more important, a game against the Yankees in October, or on in the summer in Arlington?

I'm gonna guess that Rogers ranks last night at the top.

Agreed, but like jagtrader elogantly pointed out, since Rogers didn't no-hit the Yankees, it technically doesn't count.

    Loud and clear.

Can we arrange an impromptu party if these assholes spit the bit today?

Amen on that one. Yet no writers want to challenge the umpires on blown calls. I say go for it. The more the writers talk about it, the more Bud Selig may be forced to do something about it.

Ya, for the record, it wouldn't have made a difference in the series, but bad umpiring is getting to be one of the things staining the game.

If the Tigers don't win today, there is no way they will win a Game 5 in Yankee Stadium tomorrow night.
If the Yankees win today, they will win the World Series. There is no middle of the road here.
